We’ve designed the assembly of our Wood Burning Hot Tub to be as simple as possible—setup requires no tools and takes only 10 minutes of your time. Our Hot Tub doesn’t require professional help, or electrical or plumbing installation (see for yourself how easy it is). This design only takes 15 minutes to drain, and is equally quick to disassemble with its removable pieces if you’d like to try your tub in a new location.

We are so happy with our GOODLAND spa. The shipper had damaged parts of our spa upon delivery, but GOODLAND customer service was quick to resolve our situation with great communication and a speedy replacement. Unforeseen things happen, but it's how you resolve them that matters and GOODLAND handled it with the professionalism that is now lacking in many other companies. Can't recommend them and their products enough.

Love using this. Only thing I’d fix is the panels don’t stay in place. I added 25w solar pond pump with battery which circulates the water while heating up and a wireless thermometer so I don’t have to go check or stir when it was freezing out. Now it’s very nice and mild. Really enjoy it. Very high quality.

I have had a Goodland Hot Tub for well over 3 years now and I have loved it through every season we experience in Ontario, Canada. It has been put through the test of extremely cold winters (-30c) where it has frozen solid with no issues at all, and hot summers, where we use it as a cold dip. It's easy to clean and refill when you want it. It doesn't take a lot of wood to heat. It fits me and my boyfriend, and a couple of our close friends. Everyone who visits asks if we're going to "fire up the tub" and we're always happy to say yes because of how quick and easy it is! With a little practice in building a good fire you can heat it in 90 minutes without any problem. The best part is that if we're not going to use it for a while, or are going away we simply drain it and don't have to worry about keeping it on/heated. It's a great, timeless, modern design with thoughtful details and nothing missed. This is the wood burning hot tub that you've been looking for.

My family absolutely loves everything about this tub that is the opposite of conventional spas. No noise, no chemicals, no blinking lights, just healthy clean hot water in the quiet solitude of nature with the light crackle of a fire and the faint smell of cedar. On the functional side, the aluminum construction will literally last for decades beyond fibreglass or plastic. All parts are easy to maintain or replace. I felt it may be a gamble ordering a tub as opposed to buying one in a store. I was so pleasantly surprised. The shipping was incredibly fast. The tub was so well packaged that I had no concerns when it arrived. The unboxing was pretty simple and the components were easy to carry over to the location where I was installing the tub. Two of us easily carried the shell. I built my own pedestal using pavers. Although not totally necessary, I wanted to make sure I had a perfectly level platform for the tub. Assembly was easy and took about 15 minutes. I am on my own well, and the water is very cold. Just above 40°. Even so, the tub warmed to 104°F in just under two hours. I found it incredibly easy to operate and maintain the desired temperature. Once you figure out the size of fire you need, the tub will maintain the temperature on its own. I have not found myself needing to add cold water or more wood once we were soaking. I did opt to add a few things of my own to enhance the experience. I built a wood box that matches the tub as well as some steps and a movable table to hold snacks or beverages. I am 100% satisfied with the purchase. I use my tub at a part-time cottage/vacation home. It’s perfect for me since I have an abundant supply of free firewood from clearing the property over the years. I really like that I do not have to use chemicals and it’s easy to drain and water the lawn. The most impressive aspect of this tub is the quality construction and engineering that went into the design. I discovered little touches that are not even mentioned on the website, such as drain holes within the aluminum channel that holds the cedar planks. A seemingly small and insignificant touch, but it will prevent the boards from sitting in captured water. It will definitely prolong their lifespan.

Wood burning stoves work by containing the energy produced by the fire in the stove. The efficiency comes from controlling both the amount of wood and the supply of air to the fire, by opening and closing the lid to the stove.
- Keep the stove lid open when you start the fire with kindling
- Partially close the lid when the fire is established, but you still want more heat from the fire
- Close the lid when the water temp reaches 90℉ (it’ll gently climb to ~104℉) to limit the fire’s heat
- Use kindling to start and gradually add larger diameter wood to the fire, up to 4” wide
- Plan to use a handful of kindling and two armfuls of firewood, possibly more
Heat exchange pipes pass water over the fire, helping to heat up and circulate water throughout the tub. Hot and cold water will separate, but stirring with the wooden paddle evens out the temperature.
If the water feels too hot, just add cold water and stir.
A wood fired hot tub's water returns to ambient temperature when not in use, preventing harmful bacteria from thriving like it does in always-hot jacuzzi tubs. To extend water life, you can hook up a pool filter system using our Filter Adapter Kit to clean debris from water and improve water clarity. Additionally, the use of safer, non-chemical alternatives like bromine or hydrogen peroxide can prolong the life of your tub water from one to three weeks of daily use.
Prevent debris from getting into the water by covering the hot tub with the Rigid End Cover and showering before entering the tub. Lastly, using saltwater is a great option for sensitive skin.
A natural soak starts with balanced water to keep your metal tub looking its best. Balanced water is when the chemical levels (like alkalinity, pH, and calcium hardness) are at an equilibrium. You can use any source of water to fill up your tub (lake, ocean, hose, or well), and we recommend using balanced water for best results. Beyond being important for tubs, having balanced water is also important for your own comfort in the water, too. Unbalanced water could negatively impact your skin and hair, potentially causing problems like itchy skin or eyes, dry hair, and more.
If you think your water might be unbalanced, you can check water balance using test strips and adjust as needed. Optimal levels are a pH of 7.2-7.6, alkalinity between 80-120ppm, and total hardness between 150-250ppm. Read more about water balancing here.
