Wood Splitting Axe
Chop wood, carry water.
Our limited-run Wood Splitting Axes are handmade in collaboration with Brant & Cochran in South Portland, Maine. Forged in the Maine Wedge pattern, these sharp USA made axes are perfect for splitting firewood or kindling for your Wood Burning Hot Tub, campfire, wood stove, or to bring along with you into the backcountry.
These hand-forged axes are made of premium materials designed to last the test of time—to be often used, well-loved, and passed down over time. Crafted from 1050 carbon steel, tempered to a hardness of 56-58, allowing it to retain an ultra sharp edge after many uses. The axe features a 28" hickory handle, set with a black walnut wedge. Left untouched, the hand-forged finish on the head is a product of process, making each axe unique.
The Wood Splitting Axe also includes a tanned leather sheath to protect it while not in use. And, as a nod to tradition, the steel axe head is embossed with both the year that the axe was made and the initials of the maker.
At just 2.5lb, the Wood Splitting Axe is lightweight and can be used with either one or two hands.

The Pursuit of Pause
Make time for yourself
MOST AUTHENTIC BATHING
Submerging oneself in water is nature's purest way of both cleansing and relaxing. The gravity of such an elemental connection allows us to feel secure and free. Hold your breath; and feel weightless in the buoyancy of the water, exhale, and let go of life's daily obligations . . .allowing yourself to sink into the moment and feel the warmth of the water pass over your body.
Outdoor bathing is not just about the ritual of the soaking (although we guarantee it to be life-changing), but rather the whole process of chopping and stacking the wood, lighting and stoking the fire, stirring the water, and adjusting the temperature. The sum of the parts create meaningful routines that evoke emotion and ground us in nature.
The crackle of the fire, the smell of fresh wood first heating then carbonizing into gentle gestures of smoke trailing from the chimney.
The pursuit of pause is a journey to be savoured: immerse yourself.
