At GOODLAND, we believe in creating everyday rituals to help you connect with nature and find pause. Emphasizing the beauty of materials and considered design, we aim to create opportunities that help us break away from life’s hustle and enjoy the moment.
OUR STORY
GOODLAND emerged from reflecting on how deeply we valued authentic connections and experiences in nature. Before founding GOODLAND in 2021, our Sunday family ritual included soaking in a round wood fired hot tub. From gathering firewood to stirring the water, we’d spend our mornings getting ready for an afternoon soak.
As builders and designers, the desire to create runs deep in all we do. And we believe that good design belongs outdoors, too. We started to dream up ways to enhance the outdoor bathing experience through an improved design, and the seeds of GOODLAND began to grow.
We began with creating the GOODLAND Wood Burning Hot Tub, with a modern, unique design and enduring materials to last a lifetime. We slowly and thoughtfully have grown our collection, with considered design and longevity as guiding principles.
Since then, GOODLAND has expanded what it is today: a design studio crafting immersive tools and objects to reconnect with nature, slow down, and find pause.

Through thoughtful design and considered materials, we aim for everything our studio creates to be as beautiful to look at as it is satisfying to use. Whether it’s noticing the patina of a well-loved brass tool or stepping into wood-fired waters, each object is designed to help you find a reason to pause and connect with nature.
An extensive design process is behind everything we create. Our in-house design team ideates and prototypes out of our Bowen Island studio, taking time to ensure what we put into the world not only lasts, but serves a purpose. Our aim is for each object and tool to be a genuine pleasure to use, and leave you feeling connected to the world around you.
Whenever possible, we choose to make our objects and tools here in Canada to help support our local economy and have a lower carbon footprint. As a small team with exacting standards, we invest time in finding the right partner so we can pair quality, enduring materials with exceptional workmanship.
