Designed by our in-house design studio, the Garden Watering Wand helps elevate the everyday watering experience with versatility, durability, and ease. Crafted from raw brass in an enduring yet elegant form, use the Watering Wand to access deep garden beds, raised and hanging planters, and other hard-to-reach outdoor areas without bending and stretching.
The Watering Wand comes with a set that includes our Brass Shut-Off Valve and our new Brass Watering Nozzle. The Brass Watering Nozzle, also available individually, is a purpose-built nozzle for everything from everyday watering to deep soaking. Both gardening tools connect to any standard North American garden hose, such as our Everlasting Garden Hose.
Why We Made This
We only ever release something new when we see a genuine need: when it solves actual problems and is a considered improvement of what already exists.
As we’ve expanded our thoughtful collection of gardening and outdoor goods, our design studio saw an opportunity to create new tools designed specifically for watering and gardening. While our existing Brass Hose Nozzle works well for all-purpose spraying and washing, we wanted to design something specifically for tending to plants outdoors.
Many of the watering wands and nozzles currently available lean on cheap plastics and lightweight materials that simply won’t last. Or, they can be overly complicated, providing the type of functionality you might need if you owned a commercial farm, but that’s overwhelming if you’re simply trying to water your garden at home.
This is where our new Garden Watering Wand and Brass Watering Nozzle come in: durable, functional, beautiful, and designed to be used and enjoyed for a lifetime.
Our Design Process
Our in-house design studio went through an extensive design process to create the Watering Wand and Watering Nozzle. The Watering Wand was specifically engineered to provide more reach while watering, while also being comfortable to hold and use. Designed as a complete system for watering, the Watering Wand includes our new Watering Nozzle, and our Brass Shut-Off Valve so you can easily and quickly adjust or stop the flow of water.
Through testing, our studio found that a full-flow, shower-style nozzle worked best to produce a consistent spray that mimicked natural rainfall. Designed with simplicity and precision, the Watering Nozzle has three interchangeable stainless steel spray screens that are easy to switch depending on your watering needs, whether that’s an everyday shower, a broad and fine spray, or a large droplet deep soak.
Lead-free raw brass was chosen as an enduring material and to make the Watering Wand and Watering Nozzle drinking water safe, aligning with our other gardening tools and accessories. Apart from the stainless steel screens on the nozzle, the entire tool is solid brass, with no synthetic coatings or painted finishes. The raw brass also pairs perfectly with our other brass accessories and Everlasting Garden Hose, for a cohesive look to your outdoor space. Earning a beautiful patina through use and care, the intention is the same as everything we make at GOODLAND: to last a lifetime.
